Welcome to Liphook U3A's website.
Liphook U3A is one of many U3As across the UK, each affiliated to the Third Age Trust (click for further information
about the origins, objectives and activities of U3As generally). In brief, the U3A exists for the benefit of retired people
who wish to learn and keep active. Members share their knowledge and experience, and participate in a wide range
of educational, social and leisure activities.
Liphook U3A was founded in 2001 and has quickly grown into a thriving organisation with almost 500 members.
Members can join a number of special interest or study groups, join in occasional visits and travel, and attend the
monthly General Meetings at the Liphook Millennium Centre. The General Meetings have a guest speaker, with a
short period for questions, followed by refreshments and an opportunity to socialise; the meetings enjoy attendance
levels usually well in excess of 100, up to about 180 members and visitors.
